Isn't it funny how certain songs remind you of events in your life? There is this Phil Collins song that always reminds me of my bestie Melissa...Can you feel it comin' in the air tonight! Any Hootie or NKOTB song brings back memories of dancing in Hannah's room. The Martina McBride song "Independence Day" reminds me of Ansley singing at the top of her lungs on the softball bus headed to another game. We danced to "I cross my heart" by George Strait on the night we got engaged and to Etta James " At last" at our wedding. Well I decided to add music to our blog and it is the music of Emma. As soon as I found out I was having a girl, the Tim McGraw song " My little Girl" sent me into tears as I imagined our little girl growing up and developing that relationship with her daddy. She already has her daddy wrapped! We listened to the Darius Rucker song "It won't be like this for long" on our way home from the hospital with Emma. Of course, I bauled like a baby, but the song is beautiful and reminds me every day that I need to enjoy every minute of Emma. Before long, she will be all grown up!
